As mentioned in last month’s Bulletin, DDC has announced changes to the services of its’ recycling centres.  From 1 April, the Brixworth centre will have a “meet and greet” service – an appointed person on site who will direct, advice and inform customers upon arrival.  From 21 June 2010, it will operate longer daily opening hours – 8am to 8pm from April to September and 8am – 6pm from October to March.  The centre will be closed on Wednesdays and Thursday.  The shop selling reusable items will be located off-site to new premises; however members of the public can still drop off their items for reuse at the centre.  The actual locations of these shops have yet to be determined by NCC but will be within 5 miles of each recycling centre.
