HANNINGTON - HERE TO HELP

The latest Northants Community Resilience newsletter can be found here.

An update on supermarket deliveries can be found here.

Just a quick update from the Hannington Here to Help group.

Tuesday 14 April 2020.

We now have 25 members of the group, both volunteers and those requiring a little assistance.  So far the requests for help have been relatively infrequent and easily satisfied.  However, with such a good number of volunteers, from around the village, we are well placed to cope should demand increase.  The group has been registered with the Northamptonshire Local Resilience Forum, which gives us access to the latest county Coronavirus information and provides a higher level of assistance if required.

You will be aware that the newspaper delivery to the Village Hall temporarily ceased.  Thanks to the efforts of one of our volunteers this service has now resumed, albeit through a different provider.  If you require a newspaper please ring Sayon at the Broughton newsagents on 01536 790293 with your order and arrange for it to be delivered to the box outside the Village Hall.

The volunteers have also done a great job keeping people informed about local food delivery services and finding different sources of supplies; including the new take away service provided by the Royal Oak in Walgrave.

Remember, if you are in need of assistance please do not hesitate to ask by calling either Parish Councillors Wes Wesley on 07500 865208 or Debbie Jackson on 07593 258995. If we cannot help straight away, we will know someone who can.  Alternatively, we can add you to the ‘Here to Help’ WhatsApp group where you can stay abreast of the latest information and post your request directly to all of the volunteers.  Here to Help is developing a good community feel, with volunteers frequently helping each other as well as those in need.
