The Parish Plan indicated that speeding was of great concern to Hannington residents, which the Parish Council has taken on board.  To this end the Parish Council, has now completed the purchase of a portable 300mm 20/30/40mph speed sign that will be placed initially on the Holcot Road – hopefully this will act as a reminder to all those motorists to obey the speed signs.  The device also has the capability of recording the number of vehicles that exceed the speed limited – which will be a useful tool in any future traffic calming measures.

In addition, the relocation further out of the village of the 30mph signs along the Walgrave Road and Red House Lane has now been completed.
